It takes experience and steady, nonpartisan leadership to run the Secretary of State’s office. The department has 30 distinct, detail-oriented responsibilities. I am proud to lead a staff that is accomplishing those duties with accuracy, fairness and integrity. We have been doing this for 18 years, and I ask for your support for re-election so we can continue our successes:
- Using technology to provide election information, including real-time election results at www.nd.gov/sos for all races appearing on the ballot whether state, district, city or school board.
- Serving over 80,000 businesses.
- Overseeing fair and accurate elections for 18 years – without partisan advocacy.
- Providing popular early voting options and address-specific online polling information.
- Initiating legislation that has helped over 15,000 new businesses organize in North Dakota, including all limited liability companies.
My office has initiated and drafted more than 350 bills that have been good for North Dakota’s people and businesses. These were passed with bipartisan support through nine legislative sessions. As a result, our election process works exceptionally well, and our state has a business climate geared for job growth. The office of Secretary of State is not glamorous, and it is not the place to build any one political party. Please support me this November for continued progress in business growth and fair, accurate elections.
