  • Leads one of the top ranked election system in the nation by the Pew Charitable Trust for the last five consecutive election cycles.
  • Worked with the Legislature on a voter ID bill to protect the integrity of North Dakota elections.

Advancing Technology

  • Successfully deployed a 24/7 statewide depository where lenders file security agreements for loans made to individuals, businesses, farmers and ranchers.
  • Developing a new software platform for filing reports online, registering new businesses, licensing contractors and much more to handle the many complex duties of the Secretary of State.

  • National Association of Secretaries of State - nine-time member of Executive Committee and Chair of the Awards committee for 25 years

  • Al and his late wife, Kathy, have three adult children and two grandsons

Jaeger for Secretary of State is required to report the name, address, occupation and employer of each individual who contributes over $200 per election cycle. Contributions from corporations, government contractors, foreign nationals, and minors (individuals under the age of 18) are prohibited. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
